In the 1990’s, Beaver Plastics, AMC Foam, Form Solutions, Form Systems & Perma R Products were the regional EPS molders that contract-manufactured the Blue Maxx ICF system on behalf of AAB Building System. Blue Maxx was far and away the dominant and leading ICF system at the time.
In 2001, AAB rebranded itself as Arxx Building Products. Shortly afterwards, for some reason ARXX decided to enter into a manufacturing agreement with a single multi-location EPS molder and terminated its relationship with these five EPS molders who had been manufacturing the Blue Maxx ICF products for close to a decade.
In reaction, and with surprising speed, these 5 EPS molders entered into a consortium arrangement, invented their own ICF system and launched Logix ICF just in time for the following building season. There were two significant inventions here – the Logix ICF system, which had its own innovations to offer to the marketplace, and the consortium business model itself.
By operating as a consortium, these EPS molders pooled resources, shared costs, eliminated any reliance on contract molding and maintained the ability to provide attentive, nimble local service and support. Over time this consortium was named Logix Brands.
From pretty much day one, and over the subsequent 20 years, Logix ICF established itself as a leading North American ICF system.

And now, after 20+ years of high volumes, the manufacturing molds used to make Logix ICF were finally getting fatigued and a decision had to be made by the Logix Brands consortium.
Do we re-order the Logix ICF molds and carry on with the original ICF system, or do we Boldly Go in a New Direction?
We decided to Boldy Go.
Thus, in the summer/fall of 2024, Logix Brands is thrilled to be launching Element ICF, our newest and potentially most significant invention yet, and we see a very bright future ahead.
Logix ICF has been an industry-leading ICF since its introduction by Logix Brands over 20 years ago.
After it’s long run as a leading ICF, Logix ICF will begin its well-earned retirement in 2025.
At that point Logix ICF will no longer be available for purchase.
Going forward the online Logix ICF technical library will continue to be maintained for the benefit of the many builders, developers & designers who have worked with Logix ICF and the thousands of owners and occupants who continue to live, work and play in the homes and buildings that have been built with Logix ICF.
And now, Logix Brands, together with its network of hundreds of local dealers across Canada and the USA, will Boldly Go on it’s Element ICF journey!
